Individuals are not going to be punished for importing "sanctions"

The criminal responsibility for the importation of sanctions goods into the country will not affect individuals, the Russian Finance Ministry notes. "The bill does not apply to individuals," the ministry's press service quotes RIA Novosti.
Yesterday it became known that the Ministry of Finance wants to criminalize the import of sanctions products: the agency proposes to equate the import of goods that fall under the embargo to import of nuclear waste and poisons into Russia - this article of the Criminal Code on smuggling expands the draft prepared by the ministry. Thus, for the import of sanctions products it will be possible to receive from three to seven years of imprisonment and a fine of up to 1 million rubles. The same punishment will threaten and for the sale of these goods, and for organized trade the term of imprisonment will increase to 12 years. Determine which goods are banned from importation is proposed on a special list: it will be approved separately by the government.
