Meshchansky court of Moscow arrested the deputy chief of the Moscow regional customs of the FCS, Colonel of the customs service Denis Rudenko, who is accused of bribery, the court press service told RIA Novosti.

According to the press service of the Moscow Interregional SU on transport of the Russian IC, Rudenko was detained in one of Moscow cafes during the transfer of a bribe in the amount of 11 million rubles by the entrepreneur;
Rudenko did not plead guilty, citing the fact that it is confirmed only by testimony. As the investigator stated during the meeting, the UK opened a criminal case on the grounds of the crime “Taking bribes on a large scale”.
"Rudenko can hide and influence the witnesses, has the ability to influence the investigator Potemkin, who directly pointed to Rudenko as the person who committed the crime," the representative of the UK transport agency said.
The suspect stated that he was ready to cooperate with the investigation. “I am going to give truthful and honest testimony. I am registered in Moscow, I have a young child, my spouse doesn’t work and does it. My child is the most precious thing I have in my life. Please choose my house arrest,” Rudenko asked .

In 2017, the Federal Customs Service of Russia conducted an unscheduled inspection of the Moscow regional customs and revealed a number of violations of customs legislation. As a result, a number of executive officers were dismissed, including the first deputy head of customs.
